Born amidst the vibrant beats of Brazil, Blue Mar's musical DNA is inherently infused with the soulful essence of Brazilian music. In the ever-evolving landscape of alternative music, his genre-defying compositions effortlessly meld elements of indie rock with the infectious groove of samba and Brazilian sounds.

Blue Mar's new work is a testament to his deep connection to his heritage and a nod to the external music influences that shaped his musical upbringing. Despite the challenge of originating from South America while predominantly performing in English, Blue Mar embraces his displacement as a catalyst for reconnecting with his roots. He artfully combines instruments from his upbringing with the music he admires, resulting in a captivating blend of gritty guitars and subtle nuances of Brazilian sounds.

It’s a reflection of his refusal to conform to any singular mold, instead opting to carve out his own unique space in the alternative music scene. In his own words “ its about delving into uncharted territory and redefining the possibilities of alternative music”.

Following the success of his EP 'HURL' in 2021 and the debut album 'The March Hare' in 2022, Blue Mar has garnered acclaim for his guitar prowess and vintage-inspired alt-rock sound. His music has taken him on a whirlwind tour across the US, UK, Europe and South Africa, earning praise from publications such as American Songwriter, Broke Magazine and Culture Collide.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to witness his soulful melodies and captivating rhythms live. To get exclusive behind-the-scenes content, follow Blue Mar on Patreon and catch him on tour in Europe this fall.
